Research grant in collaboration with SCCA Tamale (GHANA)

We are pleased to introduce our 2023 T.NUA Collaboration Program partners, with whom we have launched the “Research Grant In Agriculture or Related Field” project, which includes three initiatives by local researchers and scholars exploring agriculture and community involvement. The project will be ongoing for one year.

The Savannah Centre for Contemporary Art (SCCA Tamale) is an artist-run project space, exhibition and research hub, cultural repository and artists’ residency founded by Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama, and run by director Selom Kudjie. Located in Tamale, the space is dedicated to cultural practices and the expansion of the contemporary art scene in Ghana. Its sister institutions, Red Clay, the studio of Ibrahim Mahama as well as Nkrumah Voli-ni, an extension of SCCA Tamale and Red Clay, are also participating in the project.

A special thanks to: Selom Kudjie (artist and director of the institutions), Ben Okantey (artist and project coordinator of the grant), Gideon Nana Adubrowa Asmah (photographer and documentation photographer for the grant) and Manuela Nebuloni (researcher at Politecnico of Milano and 2023 curator of the T.NUA Collaboration Program)
